Meet Karla Callaway

Karla has been singing all of her life and found Barbershop at the tender age of 14. She sang in Blue Lake Chorus with her mother who was the chapter president at the time. She competed in Region 24 where she sang in several championship choruses and quartets. She was awarded first place with her Quartet, Second Glance (’96) and Hot Topic (’02, ’04) with trips to the International competition stage. She directed the Hood River Valley Chorus who finished in the top 5 each year at regional competition as well as received Division A chorus medals. She moved to Dallas in 2006 joining Region 10 where she has received many top five regional placements with her quartets and choruses she participated in. Karla has been on the International Stage with Texas Harmony and The Woodlands Chorus. Karla has also been a voice teacher, director, section leader and enjoys coaching others. Karla is the mother of 4 grown daughters, all of whom have sung on stage with her at one time or another in Sweet Adelines, and works as a salesperson in Richardson, TX.
